Training is one of the most important factors to ensure that a new equipment is utilized in the most optimal way and that it will have a long life cycle. Therefore, it is one of the major tasks of the personnel in the PDC and the service department to provide training to Collette's customers.
Training provided:
- maintenance training for new or existing equipment
- process training for new or existing equipment
- workshops or seminars to provide extra general knowledge.
- Maintenance training
To ensure a long production life of an equipment, regular maintenance is a must. Collette's service technicians are qualified to train the customer's maintenance personnel in the most frequent maintenance interventions necessary for the equipment. The maintenance training is usually done on-site, during the final commissioning of the equipment.
Process training
When a new machine is installed at a customers' site, or when a new operator crew is hired, training on the capabilities and the use of the machine is indispensable.
The training of operators and/or supervisors is most commonly executed on-site and includes theoretical and practical hands-on training on the equipment, as well as relevant process training (often adjusted to the specific needs of the customer). Providing process training is one of the tasks of the PDC.
Workshops and seminars
Besides the on-site process trainings, the PDC also organizes regular workshops and seminars on broader issues than just the practical use of the equipment. These workshops and seminars give the participants the opportunity to have a broader picture of the latest technology improvements in the relevant areas, give the customers the opportunity to share experiences with others and to learn from them, and to potential customer the opportunity to get to know the Collette machines.
